Suspect Arrested in Uptown Hoboken Carjacking Attempt

Mocobizscene- A carjacking attempt on the 1000 block of Garden Street in Uptown Hoboken led to the arrest of a juvenile and an outstanding warrant for an adult.

The Hoboken Police Department (HPD) reported that a carjacking attempt took place around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8th. Fortunately, the attempt was unsuccessful, and there were no injuries.

The Houston Police Department quickly identified the two individuals involved in the incident within a day. The juvenile suspect has been charged with carjacking and conspiracy to commit carjacking. As for the adult suspect, their identity will be disclosed once they have been apprehended.

Last month, there was a separate incident of armed carjacking near St. Stephen’s Institute of Technology. The incident is currently under investigation by the police. Three men were involved in the incident and they were armed with a knife and a handgun. They used these weapons to strike the car owner in the head.
