Surveillance footage reveals burglary attempt at NJ residence while owner was absent

The security camera of an absent homeowner captured two men breaking into his home, resulting in their arrest.

On Monday at approximately 9:30 p.m., a burglary occurred at a residence situated on River Vale Avenue.

Upon entering the house, the police discovered that the homeowner was not present. However, they were informed by the homeowner that two individuals were spotted inside the residence.

Upon arrival, the authorities were able to locate two suspects in the backyard attempting to conceal their presence, while carrying a pillowcase full of stolen items.

Authorities apprehended two men in connection with the incident while a nearby resident claimed to have witnessed a third individual, suspected to be a lookout, flee the scene.

Two individuals have been accused of committing burglary and theft.

According to Norwood Police Chief Chris Federici, the suspects were identified as a Mexican and a Colombian resident, and were apprehended at the scene.

Officials were able to retrieve both the stolen jewelry and a Wi-Fi jammer from the residence.

According to officials, deportation may be a possibility for the suspects if they are not in the country legally.
