SUNNY Hostin recently recounted a wild altercation that she got into outside of The View studio, which escalated to the point where security had to intervene.
During the latest episode of The View: Behind the Table podcast, the co-host candidly discussed the incident.
The show’s executive producer, Brian Teta, kicked things off by bringing up a story shared by her co-host, Joy Behar. Joy recounted a memorable incident where she engaged in a fiery debate with supporters of former President Donald Trump outside Trump Towers in New York City.
Sunny, who is 55 years old, reminisced about a past incident where she found herself engaged in a heated argument with a group of individuals. This confrontation occurred while she was in the company of her fellow panelist, Ana Navarro, who is 51 years old.
“I found myself standing outside our building when a group of construction workers started shouting at Ana [Navarro] and me, proclaiming ‘Trump 2024!’ I couldn’t help but respond, ‘He’s going to jail!'” shared the TV star.
Sunny acknowledged that her outburst was unusual for her since she usually doesn’t interact with people in that manner on the street.
I found myself questioning my actions, wondering why I had done what I did. Ana simply continued walking, unfazed by my outburst. In that moment, I realized the futility of my actions and thought to myself, “Rather than yelling at women, perhaps it would be more productive to watch the January 6th committee hearings.” It was a moment of self-reflection where I recognized the irrationality of my behavior.
The mother of two admitted that the argument became so intense that security had to intervene.
“He was totally taken aback,” she exclaimed, sympathetically referring to poor Sammy, our security guard, who hurriedly rushed out in response to my yelling at this guy.
SHADY VIEW
Sunny, a regular co-host on The View, is known for fearlessly standing up for her beliefs. She consistently engages in debates with her fellow co-hosts on the show.
Sunny, Ana, and Joy, aged 81, join the panel with Whoopi Goldberg, aged 68, Sara Haines, aged 46, and Alyssa Farah Griffin, aged 34.
In a recent podcast episode, Sunny openly accused Ana and Joy of taking her vacuum cleaner from her dressing room.
The TV personality shared that they had purchased their own vacuum cleaner and had noticed that it had gone missing for a period of time. However, it eventually reappeared, but with a significant amount of dirt in it.
Brian acknowledged the situation, stating that it appeared to be dog hair.
“It seemed like the dog hair on the set belonged to Bernie Behar’s or Cha Cha’s adorable pets,” Sunny playfully remarked, referring to her co-hosts’ furry companions, who are often seen at the studio.
“I’m not sure which owner it was, but someone’s assistant mysteriously took my vacuum cleaner. It was quite suspicious.”
Brian exacerbated the situation by expressing his suspicion that the culprit was likely a member of the panel.
“I believe it is highly improbable that anyone other than a host would have taken the vacuum, as it would require a great deal of audacity,” he hypothesized.
Sunny confidently declared, “I’m going to accuse Ana Navarro,” while acknowledging that Joy could also be the one responsible.
MATCH-MAKING
On a recent episode of The View, Ana showcased a contrasting demeanor, despite Sunny’s accusations.
During their discussion about their Thanksgiving break, Ana disclosed that she had gone on a trip to Panama for the holiday.
In addition, she expressed her excitement about utilizing a Seabob, an underwater scooter, to effortlessly navigate the depths of the ocean.
The TV personality couldn’t contain her excitement as she exclaimed, “I want one in every color for my bathtub!”
As Ana recounted her scooter ride, Sunny interjected with a surprising remark.
“The New York native made a playful remark, saying, ‘If you were younger, you really should date my son.'”
Sunny and her husband Emmanuel have a son named Gabriel, who is 21 years old. Unfortunately, Gabriel recently got injured while riding a scooter during his time away at college.
“Sweetheart,” Ana suggested, “your son might be interested in dating someone older.”
“I definitely won’t be the one!” the host clarified emphatically. “I can’t even imagine a scenario where I would witness Gabriel with a cougar!”
“How much time do you have?” moderator Whoopi jokingly asked before taking a break for a commercial.
