A 17-year-old boy was strangled and rendered unconscious by a stranger during an altercation on a Queens train, according to police this week. The adolescent was traveling in the direction of Manhattan. At 3:50 p.m., a train had come to a stop at the Far Rockaway station. Police say the man confronted him on November 9 and the two engaged in a heated argument.
Authorities say the suspect, who is estimated to be between 30 and 40 years old, choked the adolescent to unconsciousness. Although the victim successfully disembarked from the train, his assailant persisted aboard and eluded apprehension as of Wednesday.
According to police, the adolescent was hospitalized in stable condition with minor injuries. The NYPD published a photo of the suspect on Tuesday evening; it depicts him as bald and with a fair complexion.
At the time of his disappearance, he was observed donning a yellow blouse and orange boots.Police say an 18-year-old woman was slashed at a Midtown metro station this week in an unrelated incident.
She was aboard an aircraft bound north. Sunday at 6:30 p.m., she was aboard a train at the 42nd Street-Port Authority Bus Terminal station when she was involved in an altercation with a man and a woman, according to police.
Police claim that one of the suspects stabbed her in the arm during the feud. Mount Sinai West was notified of the victim’s stable condition.The unidentified perpetrators were last seen on the northbound platform and were captured in photographs released by the NYPD late Tuesday, according to police.
Police officers described the sought woman as having a pale complexion, a slender build, and a height of approximately 5 feet 5 inches. She was last seen carrying a gray bookbag and tying her dark hair into a ponytail while donning a black hooded jacket over which she was layering a gray hooded sweatshirt. She was also dressed in gray sweatpants and black sneakers.
The male companion was described as being approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a medium complexion and a slender build. Dark ski mask, black hooded jacket over which was a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark trousers, and dark shoes were his last known garments.
Additionally, the conditions preceding that violent conflict remained unknown.
