Mocobizscene- Stamford police reported that the suspect in the November assault that occurred on a CT Transit bus had been apprehended and taken into custody in Brooklyn, New York.
November 20th, a 25-year-old male was stabbed in the chest while riding a bus.
Just before 1:30 p.m. that day, officers were dispatched to the bus stop in front of 1930 W. Main St. According to witnesses, a man boarded the bus, engaged in an altercation with the victim, stabbed him in the chest, and then fled, police say.
The victim underwent emergency surgery at Stamford Hospital and was admitted to the intensive care unit for multiple days. According to police, he is still recuperating from his injuries.The suspect, aged 29, was apprehended and accused as a fugitive from justice in New York. Upon his surrender to the Stamford police, he was promptly charged with first-degree assault, disturbance of peace, and possession of a dangerous instrument.
The bond for his apprehension is $250,000.
