Serious injury reported after collision with deer on highway in northern GA

A vehicle driving in north Georgia was hit by a deer, causing serious injury to one person.

Around noon last Saturday, a call was made to 911 dispatchers reporting a vehicle colliding with a deer.

The passenger sustained serious injuries when the deer entered the vehicle’s passenger compartment during the crash.

The inclement weather conditions prevented Air Life Georgia, located in Habersham County, from taking flight. As a result, the medical flight team teamed up with other healthcare professionals on Georgia Highway 365 in Baldwin to deliver medical assistance to the patient as they made their way to Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville by road.

The crash is currently under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol.
