Mocobizscene- The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department last Wednesday in locating an armed robbery suspect. The Sheriff’s Office seized nearly $100,000 from the suspect during the arrest.
During a routine traffic stop on Exit 4 off of I-85, deputies apprehended the suspect, 30-year-old Charley Curry from Houston, Texas. A search of the suspect’s vehicle led to the discovery of a backpack containing an astonishing amount of over $95,000 in cash.
According to investigators, Curry was involved in a group of suspects responsible for the robbery of an ATM in Charlotte. Curry is currently being held at the Anderson County Detention Center.
