Meek Mill, a rapper, wants Americans to “strap up” with guns because illegal immigration is making the streets dangerous.
In a recent social media post, Meek Mill, the 36-year-old Philadelphia native (real name Robert Rihmeek Williams), expressed his concerns about migrants, drugs, and the mental health crisis. Meek Mill, a platinum-selling artist, has had a troubled past, having been incarcerated in 2009 on charges related to guns and drugs. Although he was released on parole after five months, he was placed on a 10-year probation period. In 2017, he faced a temporary return to prison due to technical violations.
According to a recent Gallup poll, there has been a significant increase in the number of Americans who view immigration as the most pressing issue facing the nation. The survey reveals that 28 percent of respondents now consider immigration to be the most important problem, compared to just 20 percent a month ago. This figure represents the highest number recorded in the past five years of polling.
Interestingly, the data also highlights a growing concern among Democrats. Approximately 29.5 percent of Democrats describe immigration as a “critical” problem that necessitates immediate action. This is the highest percentage of Democrats expressing such concerns since before 2018. These findings shed light on the current sentiment surrounding immigration in the United States.

According to Complex, Mill played a crucial role in securing the release of his fellow rapper, 21 Savage, from an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention center last year.
In 2019, ICE arrested She’yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, a British national, for having an expired visa. The arrest was connected to a previous felony drug conviction in Fulton County, Georgia. However, it seems that the charge was later overturned before the 2019 arrest took place.
“I was detained because they claimed I had a felony conviction, but it was actually dismissed,” revealed 21 Savage during an interview with My Expert Opinion host Math Hoffa in June 2022. “While I was in jail, I reached out to Meek and informed him about the situation. Meek then contacted Jay-Z, who promptly assigned a lawyer to handle my case… Jay-Z played a significant role in securing my release.”
Jay-Z expressed his strong disapproval of the arrest and detention, referring to it as an “absolute travesty.”
Recently, Meek Mill found himself in the midst of controversy surrounding his personal life. Social media was abuzz with allegations that the rapper had engaged in a sexual relationship with fellow artist Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Some people, including social media influencer Andrew Tate, have raised questions about whether Meek Mill is one of the redacted names in the lawsuit. This speculation arises from the lawsuit’s mention of “a Philadelphia rapper who dated Nicki Minaj.”
On February 28, Mill expressed his frustration on social media, stating, “I never get approached by any man or woman about LGBTQ+ activities, and yet everyone seems to assume they know everything about me!” He was taken aback by the widespread discussions on various blogs, feeling as though his personal life was being invaded.
