Mocobizscene- The Frederick Police Department is reaching out to the community once again as they strive to locate a man who is being sought for the murder of Michael Isaih Olaniyi, a young father, in July 2022 on North Market Street. Around 3:30 a.m. on July 23, 2022, a police officer patrolling the area heard gunshots in the 300 block of North Market Street. When the officer arrived at the scene, they discovered Olaniyi, 26, with a gunshot wound.
Olaniyi received medical treatment at the scene and was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival at the hospital, as confirmed by officials. Detectives identified a Maserati Ghibli with a Virginia license plate that the two suspects involved in the murder had used during the subsequent investigation.
According to detectives, it is believed that Johnson transported Sampson to the O Street area in NW Washington DC. Johnson was charged with multiple offenses in mid-December, leading to the issuance of an arrest warrant against him.

- Possession of handgun on a person;
- Two counts of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
According to the police, Sampson is approximately 5-foot-5 and weighs around 240 pounds. His last known address was in Washington, DC. According to law enforcement, while trying to evade capture, Sampson has been on the run. Police have charged two additional suspects in connection with the case, with one of them currently awaiting trial. Despite the charges, Sampson has yet to be apprehended.
