Police Say Teen Took Photo Of Classmate In PWC HS Bathroom, Posted On Social Media

MocobizsceneTwo teenagers are now left to deal with the aftermath after a scandalous photo, taken inside a bathroom at a high school in Prince William County, was circulated among their peers. The incident highlights the negative impact of social media on young people’s lives.

According to police, a School Resource Officer assigned to Hylton High School in Woodbridge recently completed an investigation into an inappropriate photo that was taken inside the building last month.

On Monday, November 20, officials reported that a 15-year-old student had taken a picture of another minor inside a school restroom. The student then proceeded to post the picture on a social media app.

The photo’s details remain undisclosed.

A vigilant student stumbled upon the photo online and promptly informed a teacher, resulting in the arrest of the teenager. The teen was charged with unlawful filming.

A spokesperson from the Prince William County Police Department has confirmed that the 15-year-old is currently in custody at the county’s Juvenile Detention Center. The teenager’s next court date has not yet been scheduled.
