Police report verbal dispute on southbound No. 2 subway train in the Bronx resulted in a man being stabbed

On Wednesday, a man was stabbed on a subway train in the Bronx and the police are currently investigating the incident.

The Jackson Avenue subway station in the Melrose section was the site of a stabbing incident that occurred just after 3 p.m., according to authorities.

After arriving at the Jackson Avenue station, the victim sought help from a token booth clerk.

After the incident, he was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln and his condition was reported as stable.

According to the police, the southbound train was ridden by the suspect without any interruption.

As of now, there haven’t been any arrests made.

The investigation is still in progress.
