Police confirm 1 fatality and 2 injuries in stabbing incident in NYC

According to authorities, a stabbing incident that occurred on Sunday evening in New York City claimed the life of one individual and left two others wounded.

Multiple 911 calls were received by the New York City Police Department reporting several individuals stabbed on 426 East 14th St. in the East Village section of Manhattan around 6 p.m. EDT as per the WPIX-TV report.

Upon arriving at the location, officers found a 38-year-old man who had suffered a stab wound to his neck, as reported by the television station. The man was rushed to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately, he was later pronounced dead.

As per the authorities, a woman aged 52 was stabbed in the leg while a man aged 38 suffered a stab wound to his back, as reported by WPIX.

According to WABC-TV, the man is in stable condition while the woman is listed in critical condition.

The reason behind the attacks remains unclear.
