Mocobizscene- On Friday, January 5th, detectives received an alert from loss prevention stating that a retail theft crew had seized over a dozen designer handbags, worth a total of $4,500, and fled the store. This incident occurred around 5:05 p.m., as reported by the Fairfax County police.
The suspects attempted to escape the area by getting into a Chevrolet Suburban that was waiting for them.Detectives initiated an extensive search along the southbound section of Interstate 495 in Annandale. Despite the congestion in the mainline lanes, they skillfully maneuvered through the Express Lane to apprehend the crew.
The detectives collaborated with the Virginia State Police to apprehend the four suspects on the interstate. They successfully arrested all four and subsequently transported them to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where they were formally charged.
