MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – An investigation is underway by Miami-Dade police into a gunshot that injured a woman over the weekend. Authorities report that the incident occurred near Northwest 31st Avenue and 95th Street in the county’s West Little River area at 6:47 p.m. on Sunday.
Officers arrived at the scene and discovered a woman with a gunshot wound, according to the police. Witnesses informed news that the woman was wounded in the arm and fled to a nearby area while yelling, “Help me, dial 911!”
Police report that Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel transported the victim in stable condition to a local hospital. The preliminary investigation, according to detectives, revealed that a male and the victim engaged in a verbal altercation that culminated in his shooting of her.
As of now, there have been no arrests, and the police lack a description of the gunman.
