One Man Killed in Shooting Incident in Compton

Mocobizscene- Sheriff’s homicide detectives in Compton are currently searching for the individual responsible for the fatal shooting of a man. The victim was rushed to a hospital by paramedics from the Compton Fire Department, but unfortunately, he was pronounced dead.

At 11:04 p.m. on Tuesday, deputies from the Compton Station of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the 600 block of West Corrigidor Street, between South Center Avenue and Alondra Boulevard, in response to a report of gunfire. According to homicide Lt. Patricia Thomas, the victim had an upper torso gunshot wound when they arrived at the scene.

Paramedics from the Compton Fire Department were called, and after bringing the man to the hospital, they declared him dead.
