One child from Mississippi dies and three others sustain injuries in a solo car accident in Alabama

A tragic accident in Marion County, Alabama has claimed the life of a 10-year-old child from Mississippi. The crash involved a single vehicle and resulted in injuries to three other passengers, including a 1-year-old.

At 6:55 a.m. on Sunday, a crash took place on Interstate 22 in the vicinity of Brilliant, Alabama.

Four people were in a car that veered off the road and collided with a barrier.

The crash at the local hospital claimed the life of a 10-year-old, whose identity has not been disclosed.

Raymoni Gordon, aged 31, Shuntalisha Metcalf, aged 36, and a one-year-old from Mississippi were injured in the accident and taken to a hospital. The driver of the vehicle was also among those injured.

The investigation into the crash is being conducted by the Highway Patrol Division of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
