A priest from Brooklyn was absolved of his administrative responsibilities subsequent to permitting pop star Sabrina Carpenter to utilize his Catholic church for the filming of a music video.
Following the former Disney actress’s appearance in a short black dress and veil at the coffin-lined altar of Our Lady of Mount Carmel-Annunciation Parish, Msgr. Jamie Gigantiello issued an apology and a bishop conducted a special rite. As the YouTube video accumulated millions of views, the Brooklyn Diocese issued a statement of “appalled” regarding the content that was captured on camera.
