Mocobizscene- The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) is seeking the help of the public in finding an individual who is considered a person of interest in a fraud investigation. The investigation revolves around a theft by fraud incident that took place on O’Bannon Street in the 500 block.
In October 2023, someone allegedly cashed or deposited a check that was meant for a vendor but never reached its intended recipient. The NOPD detectives conducting the investigation have identified Amirah Jones (DOB: 10-15-2003) as a person of interest in connection with this incident.
Jones is being sought for questioning by investigators in relation to an ongoing fraud investigation. It is worth mentioning that she is not currently wanted for the incident, but authorities believe that she may have valuable information that could be relevant to the case.
