Mocobizscene- Nile Ward, a 26-year-old individual, has been detained at the Orleans Parish Justice Center on a charge of second-degree murder. After being arrested in Memphis by U.S. Marshals on November 1, Ward was extradited to New Orleans and officially booked on November 28.
According to police, Dolliole reached out to Ward after coming across their phone number on a website. They engaged in a conversation about the cost, meeting place, and availability of condoms for a “car date.”
According to police, Dolliole requested a photograph from Ward to verify her identity as the woman he had seen on the website. In response, she sent him a selfie wearing the same black wig with purple streaks that was later discovered in Dolliole’s vehicle.
Dolliole and Ward were captured on surveillance footage meeting in a parking lot on Chef Menteur Highway during the evening of September 24. At precisely 10:55 p.m., Dolliole was seen entering Ward’s car.
In less than half an hour, Ward, sporting a shorter haircut, was captured on surveillance footage fleeing the crime scene on Chef Menteur and heading towards a Rodeway Inn. Investigators were able to identify her through hotel records, according to the police.
Magistrate Commissioner Peter Hamilton has granted Ward bail in the amount of $500,000. In 2007, Dolliole faced a conviction for aggravated sexual assault in Texas, and he was listed as a registered sex offender in Louisiana.
