New Orleans police issue arrest warrant for shooting and drag racing warrants

Mocobizscene- Two people are wanted in connection with a gunshot that started as a reckless driving incident, according to the New Orleans Police Department, which has issued arrest warrants for them.

Malik Wallace, 23, was identified as the driver of the Corvette and Diana Perez, 22, as the passenger by the NOPD and the Jersey Village Police Department in Texas.

Wallace and Perez are reportedly not wanted in connection with the shooting. The event took place in the St. Roch area on February 11 at approximately 1:50 a.m. A video captures the instant that spontaneous drag racing resulted in shooting.

According to NOPD, when officers arrived on the site, they discovered a wrecked and abandoned corvette close by. It was stated that the vehicle was taken from Houston.
