New Orleans coroner identifies man who was fatally shot while cradling a toddler

Mocobizscene- The man was holding a 3-year-old when he was shot and killed on Friday, January 26, according to the New Orleans Coroner’s office. The 36-year-old victim was named as Oilber Ignacio Andino.

At around 10:52 a.m., there was gunfire on Interstate 10 East at the Michoud Boulevard exit. According to the officers, the Andino was stopping cars while toting a three-year-old.

Andino was shot numerous times and died at the spot. The toddler was given over to the Department of Children and Families after sustaining no injuries. According to authorities, the agency is looking for the child’s relatives.
