Motorist Injured In Shooting Incident On I-5 In Norwalk

Mocobizscene-  A shooting incident on Sunday afternoon resulted in one individual being hospitalized on the I-5 Freeway in Norwalk. According to the California Highway Patrol, the shooting took place at approximately 3:10 p.m. on the northbound lanes near the Carmenita Road onramp.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics quickly transported the victim to a nearby hospital. The condition of the victim is currently unknown.

The road was issued a SigAlert by CHP officers, resulting in a significant traffic backup. From above, SkyCal captured the sight of hundreds of cars sitting motionless on the freeway.

The motive for the shooting and the identity of a potential suspect have not yet been determined by investigators.
