Mother from Indianapolis Faces Charges in Connection with Death of 9-Month-Old Infant

The infant displayed injuries consistent with traumatic circumstances and was in critical condition upon arrival.

On Friday, December 8th, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) arrested 36-year-old Ingris Marleni-Hernandez, who is believed to be the mother of the child. On December 13, the Marion County Coroner’s Office officially declared the child’s death as a homicide. The jury trial is set to take place in March.
