Following an extensive search that lasted for several months, authorities have discovered the body of a 46-year-old elementary school teacher who went missing in Roxbury.
On June 7, Lara Emanuele was reported missing when she did not return home from work. Recently, Morris County prosecutors have confirmed that police officials discovered Emanuele’s body in a wooded area located off Howard Boulevard and Route 80 in Roxbury. The search was conducted with the help of K-9 Denali from the renowned Ramapo Search and Rescue Organization. It is worth noting that Emanuele was last seen on the same road in June.
According to authorities, there is no indication of any suspicious activity involved in the incident. The medical examiner’s office has declared the cause of death as undetermined.
According to the police, a note was discovered in Emanuele’s car expressing her desire not to be found. Surveillance footage from Walmart revealed that she had gone shopping alone before her disappearance. Moreover, the footage also showed Emanuele exiting her vehicle alone in the parking lot, and leaving on her own accord.
According to Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll, there have been rumors on social media suggesting foul play in the disappearance of the deceased. However, after a thorough investigation into the matter, the evidence collected so far suggests that Emanuele might have taken her own life. It is important to note that this conclusion was only reached after the recovery of her body. The investigation is still ongoing.
