Migrant youngster accused of Times Square police attack arrested for Macy’s heist

Mocobizscene- One of the migrants who was reportedly involved in a mob assault on two police officers in Times Square has been arrested once again. This time, the arrest was for taking part in a coordinated robbery at a Macy’s store in Queens.

Police announced that Darwin Andres Gomez-Izquiel, a 19-year-old, was arrested on Tuesday night. He is now facing charges of robbery and petit larceny. Four individuals have been charged with entering the Queens Center Mall on Tuesday at approximately 5:33 p.m. The group is accused of working together to steal clothing items, which they attempted to conceal in bags.

The security guard sustained minor injuries, but chose not to accept medical assistance at the scene. Gomez-Izquiel walked out of the 110th Precinct station in handcuffs around 11 a.m. on Wednesday. He was being taken to Queens Criminal Court for his arraignment on charges of robbery and petty larceny.
