Man who killed youngster in Davenport robbery dies in prison

Mocobizscene- A man who was found guilty of killing a teenager in a 1974 robbery in Davenport has passed away in custody.

Roddy Lee Hahn, 15, was shot and killed, and Kenneth Ray Sheffey was found guilty of first-degree murder. Early in the morning, Hahn and James Christensen were assisting with a bread delivery to the grocery when they noticed Sheffey inside.

Sheffey was found guilty of both breaking and entering and assault with intent to murder after shooting Christensen, who suffered critical injuries. In November 1974, he received a life sentence. Sheffey, 71, passed away on February 8th from natural causes, according to the Department of Corrections.
