Miami Street Attack: Teenage Boy Named ‘Werm’ Charged As Adult, According to Records

Mocobizscene- Henry “Werm” Tieles, a teenager, was apprehended by detectives at a public park in Little Havana when he was just 16 years old. While in the custody of Miami-Dade corrections, he celebrated his 17th birthday on December 14th.

Tieles is being charged as an adult for the attempted murder, with prosecutors pushing for a conviction. However, during the bond court hearing on Thursday, the judge denied him bond. In response, Tieles’ defense attorney filed a written plea of not guilty.

Authorities are currently conducting an investigation into a brutal assault that took place on October 27th. The incident occurred in the Riverside area of eastern Little Havana, which is situated to the north of West Flagler Street and west of downtown Miami, according to the police.

A few days later, detectives held a meeting with him at the trauma center, where his life had been saved by the heroic efforts of doctors and nurses. During the meeting, the victim recounted his ordeal, stating that he had been standing on the northeast corner of the intersection when his assailants emerged from a dark Kia, as mentioned in the arrest report.

On November 7, Tieles, who was 16 years old at the time, was discovered by police officers at Henderson Park in the Riverside area. They brought him to a nearby police station for questioning. Tieles was subsequently arrested when he declined to respond to a detective’s inquiries, as stated in the police arrest report.

Rosa, who celebrated his 18th birthday in August, was apprehended by police officers on November 8. Subsequently, on November 14, he was charged with attempted murder. Following his arraignment on December 8, Rosa entered a plea of not guilty.

Rosa was released on a $7,500 bond with an order to stay away from the victim, according to corrections. Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Milton Hirsch is presiding over Rosa’s case.

Tieles is scheduled to appear for his arraignment hearing at 9 a.m. on December 26th. The case is being presided over by Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Michelle A. Delancy.
