Metro Atlanta agency helps seize $400,000 worth of meth in Georgia city

With the assistance of a sheriff’s office from metro Atlanta, hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of methamphetamine has been successfully removed from the streets of Muscogee County.

Muscogee County Sheriff Greg Countryman announced that his deputies, along with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office, carried out a crime suppression operation in Columbus earlier this week.

During a traffic stop in north Columbus, law enforcement officers discovered a substantial amount of methamphetamine weighing four kilos concealed inside the vehicle.

According to reports, the estimated street value of those drugs amounts to around $415,570.
