Man With Bloodied Face Discovered Dead In Kensington Sidewalk Shopping Cart: “Very Unusual”

Mocobizscene- After a guy was discovered dead in a shopping cart in the Kensington district with blood on his face, Philadelphia police spent the entire night looking for leads.

According to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small, at 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, there was a report of a body, so police and emergency personnel raced to H and East Westmoreland streets.

“The fact that he’s in a shopping cart, on the sidewalk… is very, very unusual,” Small stated. According to Small, the man was lying with his back to the cart and his head hanging off the side.

According to Small, “He did have blood on his face.” There was blood on his nose that seemed to indicate some kind of damage.

On the spot, he was declared deceased. His death was eventually ruled a homicide by the police.
