Man from Massachusetts apprehended after carrying out stabbing rampage at AMC theater, causing injuries to 6 individuals at McDonald’s

A Massachusetts man has been apprehended following a series of separate attacks involving six victims, including four girls at a movie theater. State and local authorities believe that these incidents may be linked.

According to Massachusetts State Police, a McDonald’s in Plymouth, a coastal town about 27 miles southeast of Braintree, was the site of a stabbing incident. A 21-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man were the victims of this attack. They were later transported to local hospitals for treatment, fortunately, their injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.

According to Braintree police, there seems to be a connection between the two attacks, even though they took place in different locations.

Braintree police announced that they have successfully identified the suspect’s vehicle. Authorities were able to pursue the vehicle, which ultimately crashed in Sandwich, located approximately 45 miles southeast of Braintree. The driver was subsequently apprehended and taken into custody. Following the incident, the driver was transported to a nearby hospital to receive treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office made an announcement on Sunday, identifying the suspect as Jared Ravizza, a 26-year-old resident of Chilmark. Ravizza is set to appear in Plymouth District Court on Tuesday, where he will face a range of charges, including assault with intent to murder, as well as two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

The Massachusetts State Police is currently conducting an active and ongoing investigation, as confirmed by the country district attorney’s office.

According to the police, the man fled the theater and made his getaway in a black SUV. Law enforcement officers were able to analyze the surveillance footage and track his movements, ultimately identifying the license plate of the vehicle.

According to Boston25 news, moviegoer Mateo Rojas described the reaction of fellow moviegoers after watching the film as if they had just seen a horror movie rather than a kid’s movie. Rojas mentioned that the children who came out of the theater appeared visibly shocked and disturbed by what they had witnessed.

According to the police, a vehicle that matched their description was allegedly involved in an assault in Plymouth.

Ravizza fled from the scene, prompting state troopers to locate his vehicle in Sandwich. They made an attempt to pull the vehicle over, but it refused to stop and as a result, the suspect ended up crashing.

State police have indicated that a preliminary investigation has revealed a probable link to a previous incident at a movie theatre in Braintree. This earlier incident resulted in non-life threatening injuries to four juveniles.
