Man dead while in custody of Prince George’s County Police

Mocobizscene- The Maryland Office of the Attorney General (OAG) is currently investigating the death of a man who was in police custody in Prince George’s County on Friday night, according to DC News Now.

At approximately 7:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to a 911 call regarding a “suspicious person” who was reportedly going door to door in the 10700 block of Lake Arbor Way.

The officer summoned an ambulance, and two additional officers arrived at the scene. The man was handcuffed by officers in order to transport him to a hospital for evaluation. However, he experienced a medical emergency while in custody.

According to a press release from the OAG, the officers wasted no time in offering immediate emergency assistance, and medical professionals swiftly took over resuscitation efforts. Shortly after the incident, he was declared deceased at the scene.
