Investigation Underway For Two Stabbings In Close Proximity In DC

Mocobizscene-The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is currently investigating two separate incidents of stabbings that occurred in the District on Wednesday. According to a post on the platform X, MPD reported at noon that officers were present in the 2400 block of Alabama Ave., SE in response to a stabbing incident.

According to officials, the victim, identified as an adult man, remained conscious and was able to breathe. The emergency call was received just before 11:45 a.m. MPD posted another update at 12:20 p.m., revealing that officers were currently investigating a stabbing incident in the 2900 block of Knox Pl., SE. This incident occurred less than a mile away from the previous stabbing location.

The police have not issued a lookout for either of the stabbing incidents. It remains unclear whether the two incidents are connected.
