Pennsylvania State Police are currently conducting an investigation into an officer-involved shooting that occurred on the campus of Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) in Indiana County.
On the night of October 29th, a shooting occurred at approximately 9:38 p.m. near George P. Miller Stadium, which was reportedly the result of a robbery.
While facing the suspect, they displayed a knife, which led to the officer firing one shot. PSP reported that the suspect managed to escape without causing any harm to anyone. However, the authorities engaged in a foot pursuit, and eventually, the suspect was apprehended by a trooper who used a taser.
State police were summoned to conduct an investigation as this was a shooting incident involving an officer.
