A young woman of 18 years old was shot in the chest in DeKalb County, as reported by the police at approximately 11:13 p.m. on Monday.
The DeKalb County Police Department reported that they discovered a woman who had been shot on Pine Hurst Valley Drive.
Police were called to the 3900 block of Pinehurst Valley Drive following reports of a shooting incident.
According to the police, the victim was transported to the hospital in a serious condition. Preliminary reports suggest that the victim was shot by an acquaintance.
The police stated that the shooting occurred following a heated argument.
