Mocobizscene-A homicide investigation is underway following the discovery of a man who was fatally shot inside a residence in Cumberland, Indiana on Christmas afternoon.
Cumberland metro police received a call on December 25th around 5:30 p.m., regarding an incident at the 11500 block of Taftwood Drive. According to a Facebook post by the police, they were dispatched to the location.
The incident took place in the vicinity of East Washington Street and North German Church Road. The man who was killed has been identified as Tyrone Word, Jr., aged 35.
Detectives are treating this as a homicide investigation and have also identified a person of interest.
