Fatal Shooting Occurs in Downtown Los Angeles, Leaving One Dead and Another Injured

Mocobizscene- Two men were shot, one of them fatally, in Downtown Los Angeles in the early hours of Saturday morning, near the Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Division Station.

In the early morning hours, around 2 a.m., LAPD officers happened to be present near the intersection of 5th Street and San Pedro. While they were dealing with an unrelated incident, they suddenly heard the sound of gunshots. Acting swiftly, the officers immediately went to investigate. Their efforts led them to discover a victim, a 65-year-old Hispanic male, as reported by the LAPD’s Media Relations Division.

According to the LAPD, a 67-year-old Hispanic male approached the victim, leading to an argument. During the altercation, the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the victim several times. Law enforcement was able to apprehend the suspect and take him into custody.

According to the LAPD, the victim was taken to a nearby hospital by paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department and was pronounced dead by hospital staff.

During their investigation, the LAPD discovered another victim, a 65-year-old Hispanic male, who was injured by gunfire. The victim managed to transport himself to a nearby hospital and is currently in stable condition, according to the LAPD.
