Mocobizscene- IMPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual responsible for the murder of two women on Mitthoefer Road earlier this week.
The police are currently investigating whether the two deaths are linked, as both women were killed in a similar fashion and were found within 150 yards of each other. It is worth noting that both victims were white, around the same age, and had some connection to the area, either by residence or familiarity.

IMPD Interim Chief Chris Bailey emphasized the importance of community involvement in providing crucial information about the activities of the women before their tragic deaths. By collaborating with the community, investigators can gain valuable insights to aid their ongoing efforts.
The Indianapolis Marion County Forensic Service Agency is currently tasked with identifying and analyzing potential forensic evidence collected from the crime scenes. Several law enforcement agencies are collaborating in the investigation of this particular case.
The police are urging residents to remain vigilant of their surroundings, avoid being alone at night, and inform others of their whereabouts.
Chief Bailey explained that their presence was primarily to ensure the community’s safety and provide them with necessary information.
