Houston Woman Receives 22-Year Prison Sentence

Houston – Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg said on Saturday that a Houston woman who fatally stabbed her lover in the Galleria neighbourhood entered a plea of guilty to murder and was given a 22-year prison sentence.

Shataraca Denise Pervis entered a guilty plea, acknowledging that on January 4, 2018, she killed her partner Melvin Maxwell, 34, in a motel located in the 6200 block of Richmond Avenue.
