Homicide Charges Filed in Brandywine Family Dispute Turned Deadly

Mocobizscene- The Brandywine community is reeling from a shocking incident that has left them devastated. James Savoy, a 40-year-old man, has been charged with the murder of his 69-year-old uncle, George Savoy, by the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit. This tragic domestic-related homicide occurred in the early hours of February 3, 2024, plunging both the family and the neighborhood into a state of grief.

Patrol officers, with the assistance of a K9 Section officer, swiftly located James Savoy in the area and apprehended him several hours after the incident. While the arrest provided temporary relief from the immediate chaos, it also left those affected grappling with grief and unanswered questions.

Behind the Tragedy

The Prince George’s County Police Department is currently conducting an investigation and is urging anyone with additional information to come forward.
