Mocobizscene– All charges against Hannah Payne in the killing of 62-year-old Kenneth Herring, including felony murder, malice murder, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, and three counts of possessing weapons during a crime, have been found guilty.
Payne was accused by the prosecution of acting as a vigilante, shooting Herring after he fled the scene of an automobile accident that she had witnessed. Payne’s defense contended that she reacted in self-defence when she confronted Herring after the accident, alleging that he had attacked her.

In her own defense, Payne said that she shot Herring when he grabbed her and attempted to take her gun. She said that she was tracking Herring to give the police information about his whereabouts. The defence has asked the court to poll each juror after reading the conviction; the sentencing is scheduled for Friday at 10 a.m.
