Grand opening scheduled for new fire station in Buford, Hall County

Hall County Fire Rescue is gearing up to host the highly anticipated grand opening of its newest fire station.

The new Fire Station No. 17 in Buford is situated on Holiday Road.

The county government has announced that the much-anticipated grand opening event is scheduled to take place at noon on Thursday.

Hall County District 2 Commissioner Billy Powell, whose district the station is located in, expressed his excitement about the completion of Fire Station 17. He emphasized the significance of this project for the expanding south Hall area, stating that it has been eagerly awaited. Powell highlighted the station’s role in serving the residents living between the Gwinnett County line and Hall County Fire Station 8 on Gaines Ferry Road. This strategic location ensures a stronger presence of emergency personnel, vital for situations where time is of the essence.
