INDIANAPOLIS — The 11-year-old girl was discovered in Wisconsin at a Kwik Trip convenience store and gas station. She had been taken in Wells County, Indiana.
The Iowa County Sheriff’s Office reports that the Iowa County Communications Center was alerted that the car at the Barneveld gas station was the same vehicle that was reported in the Indiana Silver Alert regarding the kidnapping of an 11-year-old child.
When the car left the convenience shop, it was discovered driving south on US Highway 151. The ICSO and the Dodgeville Police Department both started the stop.
The police took the child out of the car safely. Three grownups were taken into custody:
- Zachary Delozier, an Edgemont native, is 27. South Dakota
- 23-year-old Sara Gaudino from Rapid City, SD
- South Dakotan Isaiah Schryvers, 24, lives in Rapid City
- Each of the three had warrants out for their kidnapping of a youngster from Wells County.
Sheriff Michael W. Peterson said,
“I can’t thank everyone enough for their support as the Iowa County Sheriff.” It’s an incredible feeling to be out there with this fantastic collection of specialists, witnessing how all these organizations work together to take these three adults into custody promptly, and rescuing this 11-year-old girl from this predicament so she can go back to her family. We appreciate the impact you’ve had on our communities.
