Governor Brian Kemp made an exciting announcement on Friday, revealing that the east central region of Georgia will soon be welcoming hundreds of new manufacturing jobs.
GF Casting Solutions AG, a company specializing in the production of lightweight components for the mobility and energy sectors, has announced plans to invest more than $184 million in the construction of a new facility in Augusta. This significant investment demonstrates the company’s commitment to expanding its operations and further establishing its presence in the region. The decision to establish a new facility in Augusta is a strategic move that will enable GF Casting Solutions AG to capitalize on the growing demand for its innovative products in the market. This expansion will not only create job opportunities for the local community but also contribute to the economic growth of the region.

The project has the potential to generate 350 new employment opportunities in Richmond County.
GF Casting Solutions, a division of Georg Fischer AG based in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, specializes in the production of manufacturing parts made from aluminum, magnesium, iron, and super alloy. Their products cater to various industries such as light vehicles, trucks, aerospace, energy, off-highway vehicles, and industrial applications, as stated by the governor’s office.
