Fort Worth apartment complex shooting injures six people, including a three-year-old

According to police, a shooting occurred at an apartment complex in Fort Worth, Texas, leaving six individuals, aged 3 to 19, injured from gunshot wounds.

The Fort Worth Police Department responded to a reported shooting at an apartment complex in the western part of the city on Wednesday evening around 7:30 p.m. This incident was reported through a call received by the police department. According to a statement from the Fort Worth Police Department, the incident took place in the 3000 block of Las Vegas Trail.

Police stated that when they arrived at around 7:38 p.m., they found multiple victims with gunshot wounds in the parking lot. The age of the victims ranged from three to 19 years old, and their injuries varied from minor to severe.

Authorities stated that officers quickly responded and provided immediate medical assistance in collaboration with the Fort Worth Fire Department and MedStar.

Five individuals were transported to nearby hospitals, while one person declined medical treatment for their injury. The current status of the five individuals receiving medical care is unclear.

According to authorities, the shooting incident involved a suspect vehicle driving past the location, with one or more individuals firing shots towards the victims. The Fort Worth Police Department confirmed this information in their statement.

The Fort Worth Police Department has confirmed that the Gun Violence Unit is now looking into an incident that is believed to be isolated. They have reassured the public that there is currently no indication of any danger to the general public.
