Florida Turnpike crash leads to arrest of Miami man in possession of drugs

Mocobizscene- After a crash on the Florida Turnpike at Wildwood, authorities arrested a man from Miami who was found in possession of drugs. Charles Joseph Abreu Decca, 29, was reportedly involved in a crash around 3 a.m. on Sunday near Mile Marker 303, as stated in an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.

During the investigation, it was discovered that Decca had 15.9 grams of marijuana, .8 grams of crack cocaine, and several unprescribed pills in his possession. Additionally, smoking devices and two marijuana grinders were found in his vehicle.

Decca underwent a medical evaluation at the freestanding Emergency Room at Brownwood, located at UF Health-The Villages Hospital. Decca, once he received medical clearance, faced a series of drug charges and was subsequently booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. However, he was able to secure his release by posting a bond of $13,500.
