The FBI’s investigation into the campaign fundraising of New York City Mayor Eric Adams has resulted in searches at the residences of two additional individuals in his inner circle. The searches were conducted in New York City.
According to insiders familiar with the matter, the individuals under investigation comprise Rana Abbasova, who served in the Mayor’s Office for International Affairs, and Cenk Ocal, a former member of Adams’ transition team and ex-executive of Turkish Airlines.
According to insiders, the mayor’s legal team notified federal authorities of Abbasova’s inappropriate actions. CBS New York received this information from sources.
According to insiders, she was reportedly requesting members of the mayor’s staff to erase the text messages she had sent to them.
According to reports, the texts were related to Abbasova’s links with donations made by the Brooklyn construction company KSK to the mayor’s campaign. It is believed that KSK has connections to Turkey. Two weeks ago, Brianna Suggs, who is the chief fundraiser for Adams, had her house searched by federal agents.
