Early Morning Fire In Northeast DC Leaves 19 People Displaced

Mocobizscene- According to fire officials, a fire in Northeast D.C. early in the morning caused the displacement of more than a dozen individuals.

According to D.C. Fire and EMS, a fire broke out at approximately 2 a.m. on the first floor of an apartment building located at the 1200 block of Meigs Place, NE. The fire spread to the building’s attic.

According to firefighters, there were no reported injuries, but a total of 19 residents were displaced. The National Capital and Greater Chesapeake Region Red Cross is providing support to individuals who have been displaced.
