DeKalb County shooting incident leaves 19-year-old driver injured by a stray bullet in a parking lot.

A woman was injured in a shooting that is currently under investigation by the DeKalb police.

On Monday evening, police officers were prompted to respond to a shooting incident that occurred in the 4000 block of Redan Road, just before 7 p.m.

Upon their arrival, a young woman of 19 years was discovered in a vehicle, having sustained a gunshot wound.

They rushed her to the hospital to receive medical attention.

According to the police, it seems that the victim was not the intended target.

As per the findings of the investigation, someone fired several gunshots in a parking lot, and unfortunately, one of the bullets struck the victim as she was walking past the area.

No information regarding a potential suspect was disclosed by the police.

The authorities are still conducting an investigation at this time.
