Officials and published reports have identified the deceased man found along Little Tujunga Canyon Road on Sunday as Jack Kidd, a 60-year-old Canyon Country resident. Kidd served as the head grip for the CBS TV show, “The Bold and the Beautiful.” He was reported missing since Thursday prior to his discovery.
According to an email statement from California Highway Patrol Public Information Officer Josh Greengard, the Los Angeles Communications Center, which is the official CHP dispatch center, notified the CHP Newhall area office about a white Dodge Ram pickup truck that was discovered over the side of a mountain on Little Tujunga Canyon Road near Mile Marker 5.24.
According to Greengard, the person who had been missing since Thursday was being searched for by the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station Search and Rescue team, who responded to the incident after being notified by the reporting party.
According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, the individual who tragically lost their life has been identified as Kidd. Reports on social media suggested that Kidd was a resident of Canyon Country.
According to Greengard, the informant used their own drone and claimed to have spotted Kidd on a mountain.
According to his report, the CSVO descended around 300 feet to reach the white Dodge, where they discovered the deceased body of a male lying just three feet away.
The Newhall area CHP office is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, and no foul play is suspected at this time.
According to a post on the Facebook group page of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees Local 33, Jack was in an accident in the Little Tujunga canyons and the group left the site after he was brought up from the canyon.
