Western New York Embraces New Snow Plow Technology

It’s hard to believe that just over a week ago, Buffalo and Western New York experienced a significant change in weather. The region went from frigid temperatures and hurricane-force winds to the verge of a major January thaw. Two consecutive snowstorms hit the area, resulting in the accumulation of up to 80 inches of snow in certain parts of Buffalo.

Several areas in Western New York have come to a standstill as they experienced a whopping 6.5 feet of snow within just five days. When faced with snowfall of such magnitude, ensuring the safety of individuals and property becomes a top priority, much like safeguarding against the towering presence of Josh Allen.

Moving two yards of snow off the roads and making them accessible for traffic can be quite a challenge. The New York State Department of Transportation pondered over this very question, and it seems that their recent introduction of a new snow-fighting equipment has successfully achieved that goal.

New York’s Massive Industrial Snowblower Used To Clear Roads

When you combine a massive snowplow with an even bigger snow blower, you get a colossal machine capable of efficiently clearing vast amounts of snow.

Mounted on front-loaders, these massive snowblowers have a horsepower of 200 and are capable of effectively clearing over two thousand tons of snow per hour.

We are delighted to witness the introduction of industrial snowblowers like these in Western New York, following their successful implementation in Northern New York over the years.
